In mid-2024, NPTW partnered with the US-based consultants TradeWorthy Inc to prepare guidelines for the implementation of new rules of origin arrangements by the members of ASEAN-Australia-New Zealand Free Trade Area (AANZFTA).  The project was supported by the Regional Trade for Development Facility established under the AANZFTA Implementation Support Programme by the Governments of Australia and New Zealand.

In fulfilling our brief, we drew on our long experience with AANZFTA back to the original negotiation of the Agreement to create a guidelines document that government officials could draw upon to assist them in their understanding of how the new trade arrangements would impact administration of the AANZFTA.  The guidelines will also serve as a platform for future capacity building work within ASEAN and its business and trade community.
